    "Our History"

    Our predecessor, Torimu, was established in Tokushima in November 1988. On August 8, 1990, Torimu was approved by Tokushima Prefecture as the first Awaodori chicken specialty store in Japan, and has been serving Awaodori chicken for 26 years.

    In April 2016, Torimu was rebranded as "Konoyamachi Yoshiko" in order to spread the word about not only Awaodori chicken, but also the excellent livestock and agricultural products of Tokushima Prefecture throughout the country.

    Currently, our restaurant handles a wide variety of Tokushima Prefecture products, such as Awaodori Chicken, Awa Beef, Awa Ton Pork, Awa Vegetables, Anan America Koshihikari Rice, Natural Naruto Wakame Seaweed, and Shiitake Samurai, and we are the only restaurant in the prefecture where you can enjoy genuine Tokushima Prefecture ingredients all year round.

    "Yoshiko's Philosophy"

    Did you know that Tokushima Prefecture is actually one of the top livestock and agricultural kingdoms in Japan? Tokushima Prefecture's brand livestock and agricultural products are all excellent and can be proud of throughout the country.

    However, in recent years, the consumption of Tokushima-produced products at restaurants in the prefecture has fallen below 20%. There has been an increasing shift to cheaper imported livestock and agricultural products.

    However, we have established our roots in Tokushima Prefecture, and throughout the year, we purchase more than 80% of our products from brand livestock and agricultural products produced in Tokushima Prefecture.

    We strive to improve ourselves every day with the philosophy that "Tokushima people should buy, use and enjoy Tokushima products." If you are visiting Tokushima, please come and enjoy "Tokushima" at our restaurant.

    Japan's first aged Awao chicken

    In our shop, we face Awao chicken every day with pride as the first approval of "Awao chicken designated restaurant" recognized by Tokushima prefecture. Among these, Japan's first "ripened Awao chicken" was jointly developed with a butcher specializing in Awao chicken. ("Aged Awao Chicken" was first sold in Japan at our restaurant since 2004. Please be aware of similar inferior products)

    Awa tail chicken meat vacuumed by a special method is aged for two days in a special storage. Awao chicken, which has been aged in a way that keeps freshness, drops water, and increases umami more strongly, is exquisite.

    This is the answer of Awao Chicken's specialty store for more than 30 years.

    Awa beef's extreme "Awa Consisting Cattle"

    Kuroge Wagyu beef boasted by Tokushima "Awa beef". Among them, "Fujiwara Farm" highly praised "Awa Consisting Cattle" is known for its excellent A5 ranked meat quality.

    Our shop is in touch with Fujiwara's meat shop, and we will only purchase "2 year old virgin cattle" specially. Moreover, we are also able to serve at the price that absolutely can not be done at other shops.

    All-you-can-drink sake from all over the country including Awa noodle sake

    From the ties where the shopkeeper was originally the hotel and the top of the drinking department, you can enjoy a cup of sake that you can not possibly have in our restaurant with all you can drink.

    From luxury sake "Demon Lake" "Lucky Festival" "Loneliness of a century", you can drink whatever you drink from local sake brewed at Kuramoto directly to Tokushima rice wine and rice wine named nationwide.

  • Natural Naruto Seaweed

    The Naruto Strait is one of the world's three major currents and is still known as a ship's difficulty. "Natural Naruto Seaweed" caught in the Naruto Strait only catches only 3% of the total Tokushima prefecture catch.

    In our shop, we also have a partnership with fishermen to purchase "Natural Naruto Seaweed" which is said to be "phantom" even within the prefecture so that you can enjoy it year round.

  • Shiitake Samurai

    Tokushima is ranked number one nationwide even on mushrooms shiitake mushrooms. In Tokushima Prefecture, "Shiitake Samurai" is the top class among all "flavor, flavor, chewiness".

    The vegetables available vary depending on the harvest season, but you can enjoy fresh Awa vegetables whenever you come.
